The seeds need to be verily covered and it is important that they have enough space in between. They usually germinate in about twelve to twenty days and then it is time to thin seedlings cutting off the tips with scissors, you may leave three or four of the healthiest looking per pellet. To grow opium poppy inside without having trouble with fungus, good ventilation is essential, it will make it easier to keep your poppies healthy. Besides that, there are not more specific instructions on growing poppies, as mentioned; they are very resistant to poor soil and little water.
